Modern Solution Introduced Pay-for-Performance Patient Acquisition Program at ASCRS


Modern Solution blossomed this spring, fresh off a successful tradeshow in our first target industry: LASIK surgeons. We introduced a cutting-edge, pay-per-lead turnkey direct marketing program at the ASCRS Symposium and Congress (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons) in mid-March . Our program is based on a rising trend in direct marketing, permission marketing, as defined by Seth Godin in his book Permission Marketing - Turning Strangers Into Friends and Friends Into Customers.

Our goal: convert strangers into LASIK prospects and LASIK prospects into patients.

The ASCRS show opened with Modern Solution as a preferred vendor at VISX University. VISX, the domestic market leader of innovative technology for laser vision correction, invited Modern Solution to partner at the event, which gave us immediate credibility and exposure. We met many prospective customers and partners and gathered valuable industry information as well.

Next we moved to the ASCRS show floor for four days where we generated a lot of interest by demonstrating our ability to offer targeted LASIK prospects multiple response channels in branded direct mail campaigns. Doctors were impressed with how our program tracks, sorts and measures registration transactions and delivers valuable leads who have expressed interest in receiving LASIK surgery.

The result: five signed orders and more than 125 leads from across the country - quite impressive for a start-up with a 10x10 booth in the "back 40" of the show floor.

Most importantly, we got positive feedback throughout the week on the attractiveness of our product, the need for a trackable, measurable ways to acquire new LASIK patients in an isolated, branded campaign.

Leads are currently being closed and we are generating on-going business from this attractive industry. The ASCRS show was truly a group effort, with sales, creative, development and production all providing valuable contributions.
